I have spent a lot of time doing artwork for book about my children, but I thought a portrait would be fun. I'm so glad I did this, I can't wait to get portraits done of my other 2 kids!

Somebody got me thinking about birds the other day, & I had a bit of a breakthrough. I'm pretty excited about this new feel! I love to surprise myself.

This is a really fun piece I did in a really short amount of time. 4 days, that's a major breakthrough for me. & the piece turned out nicely, I still have to figure out my color composition a bit better, but definitely making progress.

here is some older art, I did it for a book about a dog. It's a little older, I've been exploring some of my older art to figure out what i do and do not like, and to try and figure out exactly where I am trying to go.

This is a fun little piece I did for a contest on Deviant Art, I didn't get to turn it in finished because I ran out of time, but it was a breakthrough for me, I penciled & painted it in 4 days. Here is the pencil, the color I am going to mess with a little, so I'll post the finished product in a couple of days.

I did this piece years ago, & kind of forgot about it, but I dug it out the other day, and I think I like it. Big naked monster on a very small bike, what's not to love?

Phoenix's story

Today my 4 year old son Phoenix & I were drawing & he spent a good deal of time making this little piece of art because he said I do that sometimes. This is an alien astronaut, with rockets on both of his shoes, & a gas can with a hose so that he doesnt' run out of gas for the shoe rockets. There is a star in the drawing that is falling into another Earth.Plus "A gigantic star, bigger than other stars". I wish I was as clever as Phoenix.

Ok so I finally caved and decided to give digital illustration a try. I love paints and won't ever stop using them, but this has been a fun detour for now, it has helped me create fun work in far less time. This is my first go at it.
